How to take good care of your bica waste sorting solution

A Bica indoor waste solution is made from and designed with materials that require minimal maintenance. But, of course, our solutions need cleaning. Here you can download our guide to taking good care of your solution. However, you should avoid using scrub sponges or scouring powder and solvents or acidic cleansing agents when cleaning your bins.

Doors and surfaces
Always clean your bins using a slightly wrung fiber cloth. Use water and household soap, inside as well as outside. If several waste bins are linked together with magnets, you should regularly check the gap between the bins. If case of small surface scratches, a repair kit is available.
Casters and feet
Casters and feet are hidden behind the case and will never touch the waste. Check regularly for dust accumulation in the casters. This is easily removed; flip the bin onto the side and clean the wheels using a wrung cloth. Use benzene if a wrung cloth is insufficient.
Bin liner holders
Always clean your bins using a slightly wrung fiber cloth. Use water and household soap. Check annually if the two mounting screws are tight. The bin liner holder and screws are easily replaced if broken.
Gas spring, lid, and foot pedals
Gas springs and their brackets are mounted in such a way that very little dust will accumulate. Always clean your bins using a slightly wrung fiber cloth. Use water and household soap. The opening mechanism on pedal bins are fitted on nylon bearings that do not require lubrication or other forms of maintenance.

General
Made of powder-coated steel with smooth surfaces. Ashtrays are made of stainless steel Aisi 304, and the tray under the ashtray is a hot-dip galvanized plate. Bica outdoor products meet corrosion class C3. The products require minimal maintenance and are easy to clean.
Powder-coated surface
Clean with a fiber cloth or soft brush. If using a cleaning detergent, use a pH-neutral cleaning de-tergent.
Ashtray
Ashtrays are made of stainless steel Aisi 304. When cleaning ashtrays, use a cloth or soft brush with water. A mild cleaning detergent can be used for the ashtrays if necessary. The tray under the ash-tray is a hot-dip galvanized plate. Clean this with a cloth or soft brush using a mild and acid-free cleaning detergent.
Bag holder
Bag holders are made of stainless steel Aisi 304. When cleaning bag holders, use a cloth or soft brush with water. If necessary, use a mild cleaning detergent.
Typical questions and answers
You should sort your waste for several reasons. With waste sorting, less waste goes to the incineration plant. Also, with waste sorting, we can recycle far more materials and thereby reduce CO2 emissions by reducing the need to manufacture new materials.
Waste amounts can be reduced in many ways. For example, you can reuse paper to fill up cardboard boxes when shipping goods, you can buy recycled coffee cups instead of disposable cups, buy more used items instead of new items, opt for products with less packaging, compost food waste instead of throwing it away, etc.
The organic waste is recycled to extract biogas, which is used for environmentally friendly electricity, heat or fuel.
